- Currently serves on multiple professional and service organizations including Board of Directors of Hillsdale, Community Health Center, Rotary Club of Hillsdale, Michigan, State University Alumni Club of Hillsdale County, and Vice -President of Hillsdale Community Schools Booster Club.
Richard Moore began his insurance career in 1993, shortly after graduating from Michigan State University in 1992. In 2000, he purchased Moore Insurance Services, Inc., becoming the second generation of the Moore family to lead the agency. He’s proud to carry on the legacy of a locally owned business that has served the community for over 130 years. Over the past three decades, he has earned a reputation for trusted service and deep community commitment.
He and his wife have been married for nearly 30 years and are proud parents of four adult children—and now proud grandparents as well.
Deeply involved in local civic life, he has held leadership roles in several nonprofit and service organizations. He is a past president of the Hillsdale Rotary Club, Key Opportunities, Inc., and the Hillsdale County MSU Alumni Club. He currently serves on the Hillsdale Hospital Board of Trustees.
He takes great pride in his community work, including leading the $500,000 improvement project at Rotary Park at Sandy Beach and, most recently, chairing the Hillsdale Hospital Capital Campaign, which raised $1 million to support local healthcare.
Outside of work and service, he enjoys visiting national parks, traveling, and—most of all—spending time with his family and grandchildren.
